Ugh - New McCain Spot Calling Out Biden
After the "clean coal" comment, it completely stops making sense.

http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/10/mccain_spot_say.html

In its first video response to the vice presidential debate, John McCain's campaign has a web video up that accuses Democrat Joe Biden of "lies and sighs."

"Does Joe Biden think we're not paying attention to his words?" the announcer asks.

The spot then focuses on Biden claiming during the debate that he has a 25-year record of supporting clean coal technology, juxtaposing the claim with video of him recently telling an Ohio voter he is "not supporting clean coal."

It also shows Biden saying that running mate Barack Obama did not say he would "sit down" with Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, then follows that with Obama saying in a debate last year that he would meet without preconditions with the leaders of nations such as Iran. He has since softened that stand, saying in May that he would meet with Iran's leaders after enough preparatory work, but not necessarily with Ahmadinejad.

1. Biden used every TV moment he got last night to slam McSame.
I really loved Biden last night because he used every debate moment to slice and dice Bush-McSame.

SO we can see they are hurting by their trying to find one area to clip into an anti-Biden add. Find one statement of policy that has changed in the meantime and hope you can debunk all the solid points Joe made.

Some of his comments that remain in my brain the next day--

McSame voted against alternative energy funding 20 times.

Obama will give 95% of people a tax break.

McSame voted against veterans benefits.

McSame voted against regulation most of the time.

Cheney was the most dangerous VP the US has ever had.

2. Waste of money
Attacking the bottom of the ticket is a mistake, unless they are suddenly afraid of Joe. Well, they should be, but it's far from traditional strategy.

3. Mr. "I Promise a Respectful Campaign" is now calling his adversary a liar. Guess he lied...

I can't recall the last time a Presidential ad directly used the word "lie." They say things like "Come on Senator Biden, we know better," and things like that.

Someone really ought to directly ask McCain if he thinks Biden is a liar, like his ad says.

What a scumbag.
