Basically a good kid (community service and a sweet nature that earned him the nickname of "Sunshine") by the name of Brian Deneke was provoked into a fight, beaten, and ran over by a Cadillac by a bunch of HS Football players outside of a Denny's restaurant. The killer bragged friends that he was "a ninja in my Caddy."

The killer got off with 10 years of probation. Brian is dead. This gross injustice was based on how the killer and his victim looked to Football loving Amarillo. Later the scumbag got in trouble for violating parole....but in a state where murder warrants time done without parole this is after the matter.

there are too many young guys my boys are going to school with that is this boy.

27. I grew up in the Redneck Southern border of Cleveland

It's where Kucinich meets Gene Schmidt. I've been called everything from "Nigger Lover" to "Papist", to "Jewboy" (and I'm not even Jewish...why bother correcting stupid though, eh?) I've been threatened with violence numerous times by poorly educated dilinquents for harmlessly speaking my mind in non-aggressive manner about things that are really more moderate than liberal.

I've passed through Amarillo numerous times. It make where I grew up look like the place the Care Bears lived.

I hate to give advice to another about their kids but keeping his head down might save your 13-year-old a good amount of grief. I don't advocate that often. Amarillo is that kind of town so it appears to me.

It's a good crowd and we've got each other's backs in our little Arlington neighborhood. The kids play and we all laugh. We all despise the Neocon crowd.

Acceptance of the differences of others based on the need for a common goal and the admittance of humanity as a universal connection makes for a strong alliance. The voices of the many who've been left out by their great plan coming together in a justly angry single voice.
