Like all of you I watched the debate last night

I laughed out loud several times and then it really struck me, this moran, chosen to be mccain's vp could conceivably be one heartbeat away from being President Sarah Palin, leader of the free world. I stopped giggling and and the brevity of that possibility made me shudder.

Didn't we get a "folksy" plain talkin' candidate in 2000 that could certainly at this point be considered a "maverick" with his views on invading a sovereign country that was never a grave and gathering threat to this country and had nothing to do with 911. He gave us illegal wiretapping, secret torture camps, the absence of habeas corpus and turned the constitution on it's head so many times, I lost count.

I'm trying to figure out the appeal of another pair of folksy fascists in the whitehouse and how anybody could even consider such a ticket.

I'm full of hope and certainty that Obama/Biden will win this election, but the fact that this team of senility and imbecility even register in the polls is mind boggling.

The continuance of the dummying down of America has been truly frightening to watch.
