At one time, Joe would not have been my first choice. Frankly, I didn't know that much about him and it was my own ignorance that led me to be initially a little disappointed in the choice. Now that I know so much more about him, I am THRILLED with the decision and I think it's one more example of the sound judgment of a man who is going to make a fantastic President.

I'm very proud of Obama's judgment in choosing not necessarily the candidate most likely to help him WIN, but the one who is going to make a fantastic Vice President.

My heart is filled with hope for the first time in a good long while at the very real prospect of these two men leading my country.
