Joe choked up, Palin Ignored his pain, launched into Imprinted diatribe
Here was a moment when a grown man was on the verge of crying in public, and SHE acted like NOTHING happened.. not one, "I feel for your family.." "I'm so sorry for your loss.."

NOTHING.

Cold as ICE.

Does the Animal Know that it's saying WORDS when it makes those noises? She reminded me of a chicken I once saw at the county fair that played Tic Tac Toe for a quarter.

Brainless, but trained.

1. She didn't know WHAT to do.
So she just launched into another stump speech. It was very noticable and very telling.

4. Responding to that wasn't in her script, and she has no ability to think on her feet,
so she ignored it.

She came across as cold and uncaring...something that doesn't jive with the whole giddy mawm thingy she's got goin' on.

7. This is proof positive that she was on script all night
As if we needed proof here, but this should be hammered home and sent around to everyone. No emotion. No engaging dialogue. Just more partisan talking points and McCain felating.

9. I thought it was just me!!!!
I was soooo ticked with her for not saying something, anything. I can 't understand people who can't feel or even acknowledge someone else's pain. She also didn't bother to ask Gewn Ifill how she was doing, but Biden did. She's really self-centered. And heartless. And cold. And phony.

19. Agree, Don't Think She Knows About Biden's History
And the fact that he nearly lost his family in a car accident. Also, unlike McCain, Biden did not put it out there for emotional brownie points. However, if you know Joe, you know why he choked up.

Did you see then onstage together afterwards? I think she actually likes him! She kept thanking him.

15. It's weird, but I got that sense, too.
How can you help but like him? Afterwards he was speaking to her and seemed genuinely caring and sincere. I do think she's a cold-hearted asshole, but you can't help but like Joe Biden.

14. Her reaction completely betrayed the reason SHE brought up HIS tragedy
I thought it was very low when she mentioned his dead wife and terrible family tragedy. It's not something he milks for sympathy, like some decrepit old candidates I could name. In fact I was not aware of this sad part of Sen. Biden's life until he joined Sen. Obama on the ticket.

And when she brought it up, I was quite taken aback. She may have been aiming for building a bond with Joe, but it sure didn't come across that way. It was so awkwardly and unnaturally placed in what she was saying that it seemed a deliberate attempt to throw him off.

But what did the senator do with this unexpected emotion she had, for whatever reason, evoked? Like a seasoned actor he gathered it within him and used it to KNOCK HER THE FUCK OUT OF THE PARK by choking up.

I just about jumped out of my seat when he choked. He beat ya at yer own game, you folksy little phony! You try all the time to drum up fake emotion - well, you triggered the real thing in him! You're outta yer league, sister! Hike up yer skirts and head back to the minors, and next time, don't fuck with a pro!!!

Go, Joe, Go!

18. Yes indeed she did
I don't even remember the topic under discussion, the reference was so out of left field. I don't think he responded to it immediately but came back to it a bit later, and that's when he got emotional. If she had left her podium and given him a hug, she would have won the debate. But she doesn't really care about anyone but herself.

17. I didn't know about it before he was a possible VP pick, either
He doesn't milk it.

What we saw tonight was real. Contrast that with the fakeness that is Palin's entire self.

20. True
I JUMPED off the couch and shouted to my wife, "He OUT Womaned her!" (please don't take that wrong.. meant out "nurtured" kind of thing)

She's TOAST now, people HATE that, and it's a high point in the exchange.. she feels Nothing for him, and Won't FOR YOU America..

Poor Joe, poor guy, and he hangs tough with it, I would have gone nuts.. and now, tonight he sends one off to war.

25. Po' Joe fo sho
I can't imagine. Your whole family destroyed. "Heartbreaking" doesn't begin to touch on it. Pain so deep that even as a politician with a reputation for talking too much, you never talk about it. Not for political advantage.

But she blithely addressed it as if they shared some understanding about it, though they had never met before tonight. So callous. Was the pain she raised mixed with rage that she would try to exploit his tragic history? That she would dare to mention that which he keeps to himself?

I know what you meant by what you said to your wife. He claimed the true emotional field. His was the genuine article. He was, in the word that I hate most of all for the way in which it's abused, authentic. The authentic nurturer. Not her.

I think this will hurt her more than McCain's refusal to look at that uppity man.

She's a "Fucktard" :wow: Hubby normally doesn't say things like that- but in the Primaries he was a Biden man after he watched him speaking with the Firefighters.
