Ifill Was Way Too Soft On Follow-Up - Benefitted Palin When She Did Not Answer
Many times, Palin's answers beared no relationship whatsoever to the question asked. It seemed as though she was getting paid a dollar for everytime she could talk about how she was energy policy expert. Ifill should have said, "that's nice," then force her to answer the question. Joe, on the other hand, did a far better job of answering the question raised. I don't think it hurt Joe, because it seemed pretty transparent, but as the Couric interview showed, if you follow-up and force Palin to answer the quesiton, she starts to flail.

So, I thought Gwen Ifill was way too soft on follow-up.

1. I'm really wondering if all the crap Gwen was getting about this
debate got to her. She allowed her to not answer any questions...and explained some of the questions to her by giving her examples.
