See the winks? The slight raise of the eyebrows? Listen to her voice as it fades in and out of that homey accent, with that witty and endearing crackle. In all my years of watching politicians I don't think I've ever seen a more obviously fake performance. If she's auditioning for the part of the supermarket mom, as the director I have to tell her she comes across as very affected, insincere and full of herself. If she expects to be Vice President of these United States with that low rent slight of hand, then she's got another thing coming. Fake, fake, fake.
