People: Michelle Obama Reveals How Barack Won Her Over

Just hours before the vice-presidential debate, Michelle Obama called her husband's running mate, Joe Biden, "one of the smartest men in Washington."

Biden is "the kind of guy you want to have a beer with," she told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Thursday. "I hope that part of his personality comes through."

As for her own guy, Obama, 44, talked about her husband's ceaseless energy and promise – and about the couple's courtship.

Asked how she and Barack met, Michelle said he simply told her, "We should go out. He had no special lines. Barack's not some line-giver."

He made a long, specific, tailored-to-the-Northwest speech in the rain - thousands of people waited out there without umbrellas (they took them for security reasons) and then on the news, all they showed was Kerry taking Teresa to Canlis (a pricey restaurant in Seattle). It STILL pisses me off! What about the speech?
