I live in a suburb in Texas and I haven't seen a single McCain sign
OR bumper sticker.

Not a single one. I've looked and looked and looked. I HAVE seen Obama signs (some people put them in their front windows instead of taking a chance on the lawn) and bumper stickers.

But seriously--I live in a suburb of Dallas--not a single McCain yard sign and not a single bumper sticker. This time in 2004, I saw loads of Bush signs and it seemed like every other car had that stupid "W" sticker on it.

It's interesting to the point of being just plain weird. Where's the love? ROFL.

1. There was a house on the street behind mine that had a McCain/Palin sign up for a week
and now the sign is gone, his other sign for Lungren is still up, i thought that was strange and in my neighborhood we don't have sign thieves.

18. My Grandmother threw away her McCain/Palin sign yesterday.
She's voted Republican in every election since forever, but said you "couldn't pay her" to vote after this last week. :wow:

2. same story here
last time around there were "W" stickers everywhere. This time, any sign of a puke is difficult to find. I've seen some Obama stickers on cars I will add.

It is comforting not to have to see that crap isn't it?

:dem:

3. I've noticed this out here in Az also..
I think a lot of traditional republicans are embarrassed to support McCain and many (hopefully) may be voting for Obama in Nov.

7. I think you're right.
Hard to tell if they will end up voting for McCain but they sure as hell aren't advertising it.

I don't want anyone to think I'm saying Texas is going to be anything but red, but it is really weird how many W stickers I saw in 2004 (honest to God, seemed like it was every third car) and what an absence of any McCain stuff there is this time.

20. I don't see signs "for" McCain, but I do see some "against" Obama.

"Anybody But Obama" and "Nobama"

Guess they're not really FOR McCain, just AGAINST Obama.

Kind of interesting when you think about it.

12. Go to Stafford County, VA or neighboring Fauquier County
There is a _HUGH_ McBu$h Country sign on top of a sign for the local GOP congresscritter when you enter the county from the south via US 1. I've also seen plenty of McBu$h/Failin' stickers and signs on vehicles. But then, this area has plenty of military/ex-military/military contractor/gov't people from the neighboring Quantico Marine Base, Ft. A. P. Hill, Dahlgren Warfare Center, Ft. Belvoir, Andrews AFB, Boling AFB, and other military/gov't installations.

13. Preston Hollow
On the local news last week, they were doing a story about how the GW and Laura are reportedly moving back to Preston Hollow. PH is where they lived before he was governor (LOTS OF $$). But it just so happened that on the street where they decided to do the live shot had three Obama signs and no McCain signs.

I just laughed when I saw it. Oh the irony. . .

15. Hmmm
I haven't been to TX since Obama became the nominee, but the ridiculous "W" sticker was EVERYWHERE when I lived there. I wonder how many of those cars *still* have them on?

I don't think I've seen any McCain stickers or yard signs here in Seattle (big surprise, right?), but I also don't see Obama stickers/yard signs EVERYWHERE. Not compared to all the Bush stuff I was bombarded with in TX between 2000 and 2006.

Most of them are off the cars now.

19. same here, although a few McCain signs popped up while I was in Kentucky
our State Ledge candidate though has signs EVERYWHERE, and our State Senate candidate as well.

We had to get a new venue for our VP debate party tonight, based on the turnout for the 1st Presidential debate...we had 800 people, and 4 years ago we were lucky to have 100 for those things.

Haven't seen a single yard sign. Not one.

When Idiot Son was running in '00 and '04 there were plenty of 'W' signs and stickers....

hmmmm... could it be that Reps in McCain's own state don't like him???

22. My neighbor across the street has a McCain bumpersticker
but they're good folks who look out for my house when I'm not around. He & his adult sons are all former Marines, so woe unto him who tries to break into my house.

I don't mind the sticker because they've been staring at my Obama signs in my front yard since February. :)

23. UGH! My neighbors just put up their sign yesterday
And it's a McCain/Palin one.

No news here though, the woman's father was big in the KKK.

My mother knows them too, and at a social function in the fall, when politics came up and they did their usual Repub. do-si-do she couldn't take it anymore and used my line on them, "If you are still voting Republican this year you are either rich, stupid or mean."

Let's just say they aren't rich.
