Is there anything in this bailout bill that can't be amended or 'fixed' by President Obama
and a filibuster proof congress in the new year? I don't know anything about the economics of it and I'm as pissed as anyone that we are in this situation and these fuckers are getting anything at all. But, can't changes be made down the road or a new bill submitted that basically undoes the ugliest parts of the current one?

3. I wouldn't count on it. I am sure they are putting something in the bill that would prevent it.

5. Once the Mortgages are Purchased,
it's difficult to reverse in the near term.

But things like business tax cuts are easy concessions. They'll be in place for only a few months.

6. I think they can.
In fact, I'm hoping for a Democratic White House and very, very comfortable majorities in both Senate and House so that a LOT of the bullshit of the last eight years can be addressed right away.

In fact, I think that's going to be one of the priorities right after the Ball.
