Gallup called me tonight! Call me a dork, but it was exciting to participate
in the survey. This was part of a larger survey on healthcare. I said we were voting for Obama and that we were very concerned about healthcare in our household. We are in Indiana.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but it was interesting to participate. The gentleman interviewing me told me that the survey was part of a massive survey on healthcare in the United States that Gallup has been conducting since January. I said that we were definitely not satisfied with the current healthcare situation.

He said the results would be available tomorrow on the Gallup website.

5. I WISH someone would call me.
It would be great to be among the "counted". Did they ask specifics? Like "single payer universal healthcare" type questions.

9. No, much more general, touchy-feely questions, like "how do you feel about the ways things are"
Nothing specific about what kind of healthcare or anything like that -- much more "emotional" kinds of questions. But I definitely got my point across that we need healthcare reform in a big, big way and that this a major political issue for us.

8. I think we should all willingly participate in polls.
We should always have our POV represented.

I once answered a poll on public financing for healthcare, and the pollster told me, "You're the first person I've talked to who thought it was a good idea. I'm glad to hear that, finally!"

10. I was polled by Rasmussen last night- they use a recording of a female voice
and you touch-tone your answers. Rasmussen's approach actually seems more scientific.

11. Do you have caller I.D.?
If so, what showed up on the I.D. -- so I know when to answer unidentified calls.
