Palin Newspaper Gaffe is the worst: She's a Journalism Major
I just realized that crap. Man, where was I. I was waiting for more gems and I can't wait for the vid of her looking all "D'oh..." when they ask her to name a few court cases besides RvW.

But yes, this is the worst because like I'm sure a few others have forgotten she was a journalism major...shocker.

1. All she had to say was "the Anchorage paper". Or Time, or Newsweek, or the WaPo or WSJ.
That's it. Katie wasn't looking for insight into her reading tastes, just reassurance that she keeps informed--Palin failed the softest softball question there ever was.

6. Heck, just say "I get my news online"
She could have shown she at least understands what a computer is if her running mate doesn't.

Anything but nothing.

2. I agree. Is like asking a Doctor to name an anti-inflammatory and he/she does not know
she is a complete idiot, worse than Dan Quayle.

14. LOL! "All of them." Just one, doctor? "All of them. Every one I've ever prescribed."

3. At which of the colleges she flunked out of?
I know, I know, but it had to be asked... :-)

10. I'd love to know. They didn't release that yet though. I hope someone proves me wrong.
I'd love to know.

25. I think just U of Idaho
In 1982, Palin enrolled at Hawaii Pacific University but left after her first semester. From there she transferred to North Idaho College, where she spent two semesters as a general studies major. From there, she then transferred to the University of Idaho for two semesters.<11><12>... She then left the University of Idaho and attended Matanuska-Susitna College in Alaska for one term. The next year she returned to the University of Idaho where she spent three semesters completing her Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism, graduating in 1987.<11><12>

24. Isn't that the online college?
That would imply she could use a computer, and frankly, I don't think she can do that either. I know her "running mate" doesn't.

7. She Studied To Be A Newsbunny
She learned to read a teleprompter & smile. That's not journalism.

23. Nope, Sportscaster
In 1988, she worked as a sports reporter for KTUU-TV in Anchorage, Alaska,<18> and for the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman as a sports reporter.<19> She also helped in her husband’s commercial fishing family business.<20>

9. Why was this the one time when she decided not to lie?
How hard would it have been if she just said TIME or WSJ?

Could she really not even think of one magazine or newspaper?

idiot....

15. She was probably afraid that Couric would quiz her further
Maybe feared that there could be a simple follow up question such as "what do you like about ?" or "why that one?"

13. Do any DUers have acces to Lexis Nexis?
I am sure the MSM has already done a search and it would be out there already if there were any transcripts of her "journalism"

She wasn't a journalist, she was a sportscaster. Big difference.

16. Could she have said it on purpose?
She's running on the idea that she's "just like" all those women out there, who have no time to read newspapers.

17. Then why not just say "I'm a working mother - I don't have time to read newspapers".
That would have been a hell of a lot more believable than "all of em".
