but why weren't they registered to vote before? Honestly, it just eludes me why people don't get out to vote.

4. Sadly, Dallas has a crappy registration rate. Something like 65%.

We're chipping away at it, but it's a big row to hoe. Austin's is MUCH higher -- not a coincidence, that. :P
