Quick Quiz Game: DSM IV: Histrionic Personality Disorder -anyone you know?
Diagnostic criteria for 301.50 Histrionic Personality Disorder

A pervasive pattern of excessive emotionality and attention seeking, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

(1) is uncomfortable in situations in which he or she is not the center of attention

(2) interaction with others is often characterized by inappropriate sexually seductive or provocative behavior

(3) displays rapidly shifting and shallow expression of emotions

(4) consistently uses physical appearance to draw attention to self

(5) has a style of speech that is excessively impressionistic and lacking in detail

(6) shows self-dramatization, theatricality, and exaggerated expression of emotion

(7) is suggestible, i.e., easily influenced by others or circumstances

(8) considers relationships to be more intimate than they actually are

**********************************************

The answer to the Couric question about what (if any) newspapers or magazines she may read was most insightful. She was unable to give any detail. she operates on the shallowest of planes.

Her flirtatiousness with "Charlie" and yes, even "Katie" was pervasive...

Has been the center of attention for a long long time: reminds me of Nicole Kidman's character in "To Die For" - complex but very transparent.

This is a fill-in-the-blank game.

Have fun!

4. I know a lot of people have never watched that movie...
...but it is one of my favs...that ending with the ice skating ~~ too perfect!

And...I like Illeana Douglas a lot. She has such an interesting background:

Douglas was born Illeana Hesselberg in Quincy, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joan (née Georgescu) and Gregory Hesselberg (aka Douglas). Her paternal grandparents were Rosalind Hightower and actor Melvyn Douglas, and her paternal step-grandmother was actress and politician Helen Gahagan.<2> Her mother is Italian American.

5. Did you ever see her in that weird indie film
about the 3 women living in the same apartment or something? It was remarkable. She's quite the expressive actress...had a gf once whom she reminds me of. Ahhh... she wore Lemon hand-cream! Everytime I sniff that in an elevator, I jump right back to college.

whoops...better get back to the present!

6. That is the one that really jumped out at me too
It totally explains her overwhelmingly successful campaign speech.

Now she is getting really defensive when she realizes that there are some people that it doesn't work with.

I'm sure that affair left the First Dude wondering :wtf:

Trig, the infant prop?

Bristol, was for throwing her preggo ass out on the curb (sent her to Palin's sister's house) before she was against it (Look at meeeeeeeeee....I'm pro-life)?

10. Wow that sure sums it up
And funny enough, Palin reminds me of a friend I had thru HS. EXACTLY the same behavior.

Maybe that's why I see right thru it.

11. Wow!
This just about sums the entire Rethug party. Certainly the party "leadership," anyway. An enormous clusterf*ck of winky, blinky inappropriateness.
