I'm not going to solely blame all of man's activities on changes in climate. Because the world's weather patterns are cyclical. And over history we have seen change there. But kind of doesn't matter at this point, as we debate what caused it. The point is: it's real; we need to do something about it.

This is the exact tact I've used with rock heads and it often is effective. You get them past their stupid argument and remind them that we like oxygen, dry land, a certain range of atmospheric pressure, and a fairly small temperature range and sometimes they'll stop their foolish rants and think for a second. Those thoughts may be pretty dull but they beat Rush/Hannity echoing around in their heads.
