Sarah responds to climate change question, makes Bush look like Einstein
Couric: What's your position on global warming? Do you believe it's man-made or not?

Palin: Well, we're the only Arctic state, of course, Alaska. So we feel the impacts more than any other state, up there with the changes in climates. And certainly, it is apparent. We have erosion issues. And we have melting sea ice, of course. So, what I've done up there is form a sub-cabinet to focus solely on climate change. Understanding that it is real. And …

Couric: Is it man-made, though in your view?

Palin: You know there are - there are man's activities that can be contributed to the issues that we're dealing with now, these impacts. I'm not going to solely blame all of man's activities on changes in climate. Because the world's weather patterns are cyclical. And over history we have seen change there. But kind of doesn't matter at this point, as we debate what caused it. The point is: it's real; we need to do something about it.

That's right Crazy Sarah, don't "blame all of man's activities on changes in climate."

2. How do you do something about something you claim to have no control over?
Either it's man-made or it isn't. If it isn't, there is nothing to do about it.

I'd expect this from a hockey puck.

15. Imagine if car mechanics (insert profession of choice) talked like Palin
Mechanic: Your oil is leaking

Customer: What's causing it?

Mechanic: It doesn't matter, the point is, it's real and we need to do something about it.

4. No! She knows what she's talking about -- there's Spring Fever
and Moose season, when the moose rear their heads and make you shoot them.

5. Too bad Couric didn't ask how it can be changed if man isn't responsible for it.

6. Was that one of those "gotcha" questions she's talking about?
Although to be fair, my activities definitely contribute to my issues. The less said about that the better... ;)

10. I believe that any question she is asked is going to be a "gotcha".
It really makes you wonder how she ever got elected to any public office.

Climate change isn't caused by greenhouse gases; greenhouse gasses are caused by climate change.

17. As long as they accept that its real and something must be done
I can accept the batshit insanity.

This is the exact tact I've used with rock heads and it often is effective. You get them past their stupid argument and remind them that we like oxygen, dry land, a certain range of atmospheric pressure, and a fairly small temperature range and sometimes they'll stop their foolish rants and think for a second. Those thoughts may be pretty dull but they beat Rush/Hannity echoing around in their heads.

"Well, we're the only Arctic state, of course, Alaska. So we feel the impacts more than any other state ...

Tell that to the victims of say ... Katrina, Gustav, Ike, etc... plenty of states to choose from in that mess. And no Sarah you don't get a pass by not knowing what those names represent. Geesh ..... I could just see her blank stare wondering where the heck she heard those names before.

note: Sarah .... Climate change not only effects melting snow but .... ya see ..... oh never mind..... :eyes:

Dear stupid Sarah, we want a President and Vice President who are smarter than we are. We want exceptional people running the country.
