WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee applauds Sen. Zell Miller (D-Georgia) for declaring the importance of family values and moral principles in his speech last night at the Republican National Convention. Explaining his presence as a Democrat at the Republican Convention, Sen. Miller said "my family is more important than my party."

"Last night, I witnessed a return to statesmanship," said Dr. Janice Crouse, spokesperson for Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC). "I am convinced that Miller's speech was a turning point in the nation's history."

"The power of conviction is too rare in political rhetoric and in the character of leaders. Zell Miller, like George W. Bush, is a man of conviction and character," said Crouse, a former presidential speechwriter with academic expertise in political communications.

"There was no doubt that this politician was moving beyond the political to stand solidly for principle and to speak boldly for policies that are in the family's best interest."

Dr. Janice Crouse is in New York at the Republican National Convention and is available for interviews. To schedule an interview, please contact Rebecca S. Jones, (202) 488-7000, ext. 126.

5. It is "a turning point in the nation's history"
It will go down as the point at which frothing-at-the-mouth right wing hatred went over the top and the rabid right wing's descent back into a marginal group began.

Let's make it so.

7. Turning point?
Is this yet another corner that is being turned?

I guess that is why the GOP can't give straight answers, they are always turning corners, or in my terms, dodging.

Family Values and Moral Principles? More like Anger, Bitterness, Slander, Distortion, hate.

They have a feedback page...

9. She's right! It is a turning point!
But a turn to the progressive left, not the neo-conservative right. If we play this correctly, Zell's speech will marginalize the Bush campaign. Zell will come off as the last of the great white Dixiecrats--conservative, Southern White guys whos party has progressed beyond their ability to keep up.

Bush used Zell to play to the South, not to the middle. With a littleluck, and a little push from behind the scenes, Bush will get precisely what he wanted from the Zell speech. A Republican party that has moved to far to the right to capture the center.

This really could be a turning point in American politics.

13. What is this FAMILY bullshit
Is that code for gay hatred? Code for hatred of feminsists?

Or code for Kerry is a faggy man that won't defend our country?

Which is an utter crock of shit, and you wonder why he has to defend his Vietnam record?

We really are living in a time when 1984 is not a novel but an experience of national politics.

The man that trashes families, destroys families and sends their sons and daughters to fight an unecessary war is condsidered pro-family?

The man that sits and does nothing while America is attacked on 9/11 but ah he did make sure to not scare the kiddies in that classroom.

That must be what Miller means.
