Dean Meet-Ups top 170,000!
www.blogforamerica.com

SNIP..."170,000 Signed Up to Meetup Tomorrow!
A year ago, a handful of Americans were looking for a way to take action in our political process. They had heard about a candidate named Howard Dean, and they wanted to know more. Problem was: they couldn’t find much information about him on the Internet, and they sure couldn’t find friends and neighbors who knew a lot about the Vermont Governor.

On New Year’s Day, 2003, three intrepid souls came across the website Meetup.com, a place where you could connect with others who shared an interest—whether it was bowling, Dungeons and Dragons, or owning a Chihauaha. These three signed up, and set a time to meet with other Howard Dean supporters who might be out there.

The action of those three Americans has changed our political process forever.
They sparked a grassroots phenomenon. And now, one year later, more than 170,000 Americans are signed up to Meetup for Dean tomorrow night at 7 pm....."

7. Snow?...we have had the A/C on here.
It has been like summer, but going down in the 40s in the morning.
Nobody ever signs up until the last minute in our area. We have to send it around to the mailing list to get folks attention.

We think our local political reporter may go to check out our meetings soon.

5. The Dean Supporters should be proud, that is a great story
When all the dust settles I hope that some of those involved in the Dean campaign write a book. They have changed American politics forever, win or lose, Howard Dean will go down in history as someone ahead of his time.
