Is the bar for Carribou Barbie so low, that just by showing up this Thursday
and standing upright, she beats expectations?

1. You got it - I fully expect her to roll over Biden
just by walking out on stage & not tripping over her own two feet.

2. They tried that with mcPOW, Obama was still the winner.
We shouldn't grade serious debates on a curve because one candidate is far inferior mentally.

3. I think it's gonna be a great show, but I also think nobody really cares.
It's just Obama and McCain now. But I saw my first Palin-McCain bumper sticker today. The PALIN was much larger and more prominant than the MCCAIN.

4. Carribou Barbie... Now that's good! And her ambigously Platonic friend, McKen.

It will be viewed as exceeding expectation if she shows up and debates Biden without McCain standing over her shoulder.

The tone of her voice and her inability to construct proper sentences on the go will make her look bad. And every observer will be waiting for her to screw up - that pump has been irrevocably primed.

7. that's my fear. All she needs to do is speak in complete sentences...
and the coronation ceremonies will begin.

9. Hell, the bar is on the ground. I expect her to do ok but not great.
I just hope Joe doesn't talk too much, as only he can do.
