Congress doesn't reconvene until Thursday?
With another three or four days of negotiating and haggling to cobble together a bill that might pass.

So, two weeks will go by after the congressional leadership, Bush, and Paulson said "immediate action is necessary" to stave off disaster.

It will be too late to do anything in another week, I fear.

I understand and respect the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, but are these not extraordinary times? Wouldn't God understand working to try and stave off a finacial meltdown of the global markets? If nothing is done, millions of peopple will have their retirements wiped out because Congress chose not to convene for THREE days.

It's unconscionable, but that's just me.

3. About what?
I mean, what hasn't he lied about, but what specifically are you talking about in regards to the bailout?

5. Because there's no emergency.
And this isn't a "solution," were one to emerge.
