It appears that the McCain campaign has made a request that will confine what questions Gwen Ifil can ask during the debate with Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. It is called "Sarah Palin Debate Question Limitations".
The memo goes as follows:
INTERNAL MEMO
To: Campaign Leadership
From: Rick Davis, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Phil Gramm, George W. Bush
Subject: Sarah Palin Debate Question Limitations
Date: 09/29/08
The Vice Presidency debate will be known as the debate where Sarah Palin will receive a standing ovation for her criticism of Senator Obama’s record as a "far-left liberal". What needs to be understood for host Gwen Ifil is that we will accuse her of being a racist and affirmative action lackey if she goes into some questioning that the McCain campaign would find "tenuous" and "ineffective for the McCain political brand".
Gwen Ifil has been contacted and has been told that damage to her career will be inflicted if she asks questions regarding foreign policy where geographical locations, leader's names and official US foreign policy assessments are asked to Sarah Palin. She is certainly ready to answer any and all questions, but these particular questions "take up too much time and are open to nuance" that the McCain campaign finds "tedious" and against what Americans who are "Country First" would find objectionable.
Therefore, the list of questions will be these, which Sarah Palin is working on perfecting in debate strategery sessions all this week:
- What does motherhood bring to being vice-president and how is it better than being a father who may spend too much time on trains commuting from Washington DC?
- Are good looks something that a vice president can bring to the World that would make them understand that attractiveness is a good reflection of America?
- Are countries that don't agree with us bad or are they just not very good?
- How does it feel to be with a maverick like John McCain and what would you do as Vice President to remain a maverick?
- What is it about Joe Biden that makes him appear arrogant and a know-it-all?
- Did you bring any photos of your children that would show you to be an even better than the World Knew?
If these questions are not asked, we have set up the event that Todd Palin will come out and whisk away his wife to cheers from the crowd (we will have a loud crowd there).
We will control this debate brand and have editorials saying Palin won handily already in the hands of numerous critical media conglomerations.
