lighten up. Do you see the number of people in this thread who are planning to take the day off? I don't presume they're all black. I'm not, and I'm not working.

10. I'm going to work late, that's for sure.
Thankfully I live on the west coast. Back on the east coast in 2000 I missed going to classes the next day. Of course, that election was a bit closer than this one should be.

I didn't go to bed on 2000 election night---went to bed justifiably scared when Ohio wasn't called in 2004.
I will gloat my ass off in 2008.

15. I'll go to the grocery store the next morning and hug that
very young lady who is voting for president for the first time. She and I were discussing it in the vegetable section the other day where she works. We talked about being Democrats and voting for Obama. I hope it will empower her to be active or at least politically informed for the rest of her life.

Switching back and forth between post-mortems of all the campaigns.

Its gonna be so much fun seeing an expert analysis of both operations. I can't wait to see Obama's steady, but sometimes frustrating, winning strategy vindicated.

The smug smile will be necessary in front of all my conservative sportsbook friends. They despise Obama. Many of them don't accept that he has a chance to win. I'm not kidding.

...call my mom who is still in awe of the fact that this may happen in her lifetime (me too!), call the three people who will be making the drive down to Dc with me on Inauguration Day so we can just “be there”...

...And then have my mole visit Crapital Hill to read the rending of garments and gnashing of teeth.

Maybe de-cloak him/her after a day or two of witnessing the meltdown. :)
