It Seems That Whoever Debates Obama Goes Nuts Trying To Figure Out How To Beat Him
Clinton nearly went insane trying to find a way to beat Obama in the primaries. Not to rehash old wounds, but she ran a pretty nasty campaign. At one of the debates she tried to go the low road and brought up Rezko, et cetera, but for the most part, their debates were civil. McCain is running and even nastier campaign and last night came across like the old dude from Phantasm.

It seems that whoever goes up against Obama tries to go really nasty against him and ends up falling on their face. Maybe they're trying to goad Obama into the gutter with them, but he's shown he's smart enough not to take the bait.

I'm just curious why he makes his opponents so angry. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.

1. McCain was trying to get Obama angry and off his game last night imo, and it didn't work

Obama remained confident and classy and McCain ended up looking like a douche.

4. McCain obviously didn't hear what Maya Ng (Obama's sister) had to say
about his temperament. She said she had NEVER seen him angry. Not even when she worked overtime as a child to annoy him.

He is calm and unflappable. Reminds me of my BIL - Mr. Mellow.

2. He has an interesting delivery.
Another DU-er highlighted it this week and I wish I had made a note of it. It was something like a tone that says "I don't want to believe you are really dumb enough to think that." But he does it in this sweet friendly way that you can't pin him on. Must be maddening to be on the sharp end of it.

5. It's all about ego.
Obama can't make his opponents angy. Anger comes from within, so they can only make themselves angry. Anger is born out of one's ego.

McCain gets angry because his ego tells him he's better than Obama. It's also the reason for the huge amount of drama he's injecting into this campaign. His ego is wanting to be noticed - so McCain does these wild things that shout "look at me!" He's a egocentric drama queen (king?)

Obama doesn't get angry because his ego isn't out of control like McCain's. This keeps Obama cool, humble and drama-free.

6. They foolishly think they have to BEAT Obama
when the truth is they need to WIN this election.

The more McCain focuses on beating Obama and trying
to knock him down.. the more evident it becomes that
McCain does not have a single clue how to deal with
the issues and make this country stronger.
Last night was great evidence. McCain was a blur of
discombobulated talking points interspersed with
untrue accusations. He's fucked.
