obama did a great job of flat out denying falsehoods and setting the record straight when mccain would try to spin. he also did a good job of putting things into perspective, like the tax cuts for those who dont need them vs earmark spending (which is insignificant in the grand scheme of things). obama also did a good job of framing the debate on foreign policy by rightfully blaming mccains brand of judgment for us even having the current foreign policy issues we do.
mccain desperately tried to paint obama as someone who doesnt understand or is naive. he accomplished only two things by doing this:
came off as desperate -- its obvious to everyone that he was trying to develop some kinda theme, tryin way too hard. came off as rude, partisan. hes over here trying to talk about reachin across the isle and what not, but obamas the only one being respectful (sign of a true liberal).
lets not forget that foreign policy is mccains strength. i think hes done. he was supposed to beat the crap out of obama, instead he came off as desperate and dishonest. i think most will see that obama clearly won this debate. hands down.
