Wesley Clark Airs Campaign Ads Statewide

It's being called the largest purchase of TV time in Wisconsin by a presidential candidate so far. Democratic candidate Wesley Clark began airing one-minute commercials in most Wisconsin television markets Tuesday, including Green Bay.

The ads focus on Clark's military service and what his campaign stands for. "A quiet, real American courage in a man who cares first about the people he leads," says part of the narration.

The ads will run until the state primary February 17th.

Howard Dean is the only other candidate to buy TV time so far, but his ads run mostly in the Madison area.

I believe ads will start this weekend or next week, and will include airings of "American Son."

That won't suck too bad in Newport News and the military bases on the coast... :)

Don't ask me why I was watching that garbage.

I thought, 'Hmmm...kind of a waste of money to do a national buy. Especially on ReichTV.'

Must have been a local cable buy on the news stations.

I rarely watch the local Milwaukee stations, so I'm not sure if it's on there.

The ad I saw was a black and white one giving background on his military service, his advancement of health and education issues, and the fact that he can speak four languages.

Must burn those Fox drones when their favorite guy (Bush) can barely speak one!

black background that sort of reaches out to you....

Down here in NM, the whole state is seeing this one....but not in the Las Cruces market, which is part of the El Paso market and is very expensive.

The only time we can catch it is on the dinner time news and 10 pm news which comes out of Albuquerque in place of endless QVC. I caught it midway during the 10 pm news, so at least it's on once in awhile...
