2. Obama is looking like a wilting flower. I mean seriously the
inability to explain to the people that if the bailout does not go through all hell will break loose. Unfortunately, the republicans and McCain are looking like champions of the people and Obama looks like a mute sideshow.
The pukes are eating each other. The Dems had reached a deal with the puke sin the House and Senate. Then, half the pukes revolted at the last minute. They come of looking petulant, Obama looks rational. This isn't mcPOW or Obama's mess to fix.
McCain will side with those against the bailout and solidify the center. The Paulson Plan is extremely unpopular with the voters. Now, even if something is passed, the perception is that McCain tried to stop it while the Democrats went along. I believe the sole purpose of the meeting yesterday was to distance McCain from Bush and show him to be an people's advocate.
He can't on one day suspend the rotation of the earth, oppose a plan the second day, and then say he was right all along on the third day without offering a solution himself. He is showing himself to be an ineffective alarmist.
...as big banks keep failing. Especially banks like WaMu, banks that normal people actually use, where a lot of people will be thinking "D00d WTF my mortgage/checking account/savings account!"
