'An old Navy pilot knows when a crisis calls for all hands on deck'
Source: The Guardian UK

John McCain yesterday sought to use America's credit crisis as a showcase for his presidential leadership skills, upstaging Barack Obama with a series of initiatives on the Wall Street bailout.

McCain made a dramatic arrival in Washington yesterday morning, hours after proposing to suspend his campaign and delay Friday's debate because of the gravity of the financial crisis.

Obama was due to join McCain in Washington, for a meeting yesterday afternoon between George Bush and Democratic and Republican leaders meant to forge a consensus on a $700bn rescue package.

But the Democrat was overshadowed by his presidential opponent, as well as speculation about whether tonight's key first presidential debate would go ahead.

15. "Field day fore and aft"....."drop your cock and grab your socks"..."turn too"
All hands on deck because McNut and the Slut are going to afterburners, and the death spiral should be quite a show.

5. Sez the guy who started the Navy principle "All seamen are firefighters" on the Forrestal.
And the guy who crashed five planes. Total incompetent in a crisis, actually.

6. "I didn’t see any sign of our Republican colleagues paying any attention to him whatsoever."
Franks went on. "Nobody mentioned him. The man’s irrelevant to the whole process. No Republican mentioned his name. I’m the only one who raised his name. They winced when I did," he said.

7. Seriously
at this point he's so full of nothing but phony gimmicks and ploys I really find it hard to believe he served admirably in Vietnam, really.

This clown is nothing but smoke & mirrors and lies. Eight long miserable years of that shit was enough.

16. Aren't Presidents actually supposed to be able to handle more than one thing at a time?
Why would I vote for someone who has ADD so bad that he can only deal with one crisis at a time?

23. He showed up 22 hours after he was supposed to immediately leave! Way to be "all hands on deck"
It's as though the Navy pilot stopped on the way up to the deck, had a game of pool, a quick lunch, took a nap and then plodded up the stairs.
