Has anyone researched whether or not this is factually true? I'm sure that scores of folks are on it at this point but I'm just curious if there's word yet.

What exactly is a "trade mission?" Do states conduct independent trade agreements with foriegn countries?

back in 2006, Alaskan fisherman traded 30 lbs of King Crab for and equal amount of Russian salmon.
no actual currency was exchanged. Both parties got a good deal.

Washington has trade missions with a variety of countries to showcase apples, wine, and assorted Washington-made products. It's not that big of a deal.
