So everything was going fine until McCain came to town?
The Democrats were dealing with George Jr. The Senate Republicans were dealing with the Senate Democrats. The House seemed to be playing along.

Then McCain shows up late this morning and

:nuke:

WTF?

Is there any planet on which they can spin this to shine positively on McSame? I heard one guy almost immediately after things started looking bad saying that "...of coruse Democrats are going to vote for spending money, it's like convincing an alcoholic to drink a beer*."

I think that'll be their talking point

* incidentally, he should have said "drunk", saying that about alcoholics I find offensive.

They were making great bi-partisan progress then McCancel rides into town and f'cks it all up.
