Looks like a lose/lose scenario for McCain on the bailout vote

He can say he supports the plan and enough Repubs will go along with it to pass but then he pisses off his conservative base who simply want to kill this whole idea. If he says he opposes the plan and attempts to come up with an alternative he risks scuttling the progress that has been made up to now and probably means there won't be a plan by Monday and the market may tank. Either way McCain gets blamed and loses.
