The deal has already been made, am I correct? The only folks who were holding it up seemed to be the House Republicans, am I right? So Obama calls McCain at 8:30 yesterday morning to suggest a bipartisan approach and statement to this. McCain then gets on television at around 4 and says he is not only canceling the debate, but suspending his campaign. Ok. Then he cancels Letterman, telling him he is rushing back to D.C. because the economy is "cratering". Turns out he was still in New York, meeting with Lady de Rothschild and Katie Couric. So then he "rushes" to D.C. today and meets with Rep. Boehner. Then after that, Rep. Boehner sends out a release saying that the House Republicans have not signed on to a deal, despite what Senate Republicans say. It seems like McCain actually didn't accomplish shit by showing up today to speak with Boehner. McCain said a week ago that the fundamentals of the economy were strong and yesterday he claimed we were on the verge of a mass world-wide depression if he didn't rush back to D.C. to take care of things.
And then they are trying to pull Obama into this fake ass bullshit, wasting his time. McCain got Bush to call Obama and request a meeting to save John McCain's ass, not the country. This is all political and I hope Obama makes that statement when he goes to the White House today. I hopes he tells McCain and Bush that he doesn't want this to be political stunt.
