New York, NY (CNS) - Elisabeth Hasselbeck may be saying goodbye to "The View" and hello to Fox News. Hasselbeck co-hosts ABC's "The View" along with Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd.

Hasselbeck has been a co-host on "The View" since 2003. Rumor has it, however, that Fox News is courting her to come over to their network. Hasselbeck, who has faced challenges on the talk show from Behar, and former co-host Rosie O'Donnell, is said to be considering it.

Hasselbeck, who graduated from Boston College and appeared on the CBS reality show "Survivor: Australian Outback," is conservative and that's where the problems arise. Fox is said to favor conservative Republicans so maybe it will be a better fit.

Celebrity News Service wouldn't be surprised to hear if Hasselbeck left "The View" in favor of more hospitable surroundings. An insider has reportedly said she is tired of defending herself in her current hosting job.

One thing Hasselbeck, a mother of two, has shown us from her days on "Survivor," is that the girl is tough. She has her opinions and sticks with them. Only time will tell if she finds a new television home, but that same insider has reported that Fox loves Hasselbeck and their ratings increase whenever she is on the show.

She's the only one who has gotten a real, high profile job because of Survivor. I know Colby from the same season as Elizabeth, works (or worked?) on Racheal Ray's talk show. He would come on and talk about "male issues." I don't know why he would be qualified to do so. Richard Hatch was probably as famous but he has faded away. Personally, I enjoy reality tv but people should just fade away after their 15 minutes are up. Well, unless you are really talented, like Jennifer Hudson. Elizabeth's 15 min. were up years ago.

Her contrasting views are probably needed for lively interaction, but her dissing Michelle Obama at the RNC luncheon for Cindy McCain probably pissed Barbara off. It was very unprofessional.

If Joy (the liberal of the bunch) had hosted a luncheon for Michelle Obama as part of a political event and proceeded to trash Cindy McCain, Barbara would have been pissed about that as well, most likely.

Hasselbeck is simply annoying all the way around. She and Hannity should have their own show and get rid of Colmes since he's useless anyway. I'll never see her again once she goes to Faux. Yay!

I have always defended Elizabeth because I feel that in her cat fight with Rosie, she was actually in the right. LISTEN UP: NOT HER VIEWPOINT, BUT HER RIGHT TO LET ROSIE DEFEND HERSELF. I have found her unusually strident and anti-Obama and could never figure out why she was so intense about it.
