Using DU to understand how much a trillion dollars is.
As I post this, I see that since January 2001 there have been 40,000,000 posts on DU. Pretty prolific. However, when I take a trillion dollars and divide it by all the posts on DU since January 2001, I find that there would have to be 25,000 DUs each with 40,000,000 posts to match dollar to post.

25,000 DUs to get close to this bailout (along with Fannie and Freddie and AIG).

That's a lot of money to STEAL.

1. What could struggling families do with an extra $2500 EACH memeber? REALLY improve the economy--
and that's how much it's going to cost every man, woman, AND child in the US.

That's $7500 for my family. That's a freaking lot of money right now.

The sun is 94.5 million miles from Earth at its maximum. If you laid a trillion dollars end to end, you would reach the sun, and have 1.77 million dollars left over.

If you waited until we were closest to the Earth... you could have 4.27 million bucks.

9. If you had one trillion dollars in one dollar bills...
You'd have a trillion one dollar bills!! That's a lot!

Sorry, my head hurts just pondering it. If anyone needs a visual to understand that a trillion is a lot of money, then a visual probably won't help them understand, anyway.
