Rumors that Dean people are spreading that Kerry has cancer recurrance
Anyone know who is spreading this information?

I've talked with some people in the Kerry campaign who are ready to release info on THIS LIE.

1. I haven't heard a word about Kerry's cancer in ages
but the fact that he had cancer is a bit troubling.

10. It was said on FOX news yesterday
as a report from the campaign trail in Iowa. Caucus goers were hearing that Kerry's cancer had come back and his office there was getting calls about it.

When asked where they heard it, they said it was from supporters of Dean.

Noone had a definitive story yesterday from what I heard in the report.

It just doesn't make any sense.

I suppose it is possible for some renegade activist to be stupid like that, but there's no way a campaign would sanction that kind of crap.

Certainly not worth posting on DU.

my 89-year old mother who lives in RI and really wants Kerry more than Dean told me the other day that she thought "Kerry didn't look well." We call my mother "Big Al." Her name is Alice and she is about 5 ft. and weighs about 90 lbs. tops! She is extremely alert. Go figure.

57. Dean needs to win big in NH. So far, it looks like a win, but not a big
win.

Both Clark and Kerry are coming up behind him. Recently he started "attacking" Clark directly (if that's the term you want to use).

My point is that Dean has every reason to want Kerry's numbers to fall. No doubt about it.

But maybe Dean camp didn't start it. Who knows?

19. I've seen rumors about it on a couple boards
Why the Kerry campaign would bring up Kerry's prostate cancer treatment would be a little silly.

This message is mostly to let people know that the Kerry campaign has seen evidence from Dean canvassers with this as an issue. Anyone with a computer, printer and the ability to spend money at Kinko's can do what they want and not necessarily have it approved by any official campaign.

If anyone has seen blogs with this info, it would be helpful. Also, if someone knows someone who is doing this, they might tap them on the shoulder and say it ain't cool.

11. I heard differently
From the Kos blog:

Somebody on the Kerry blog last night (about 24 hours ago) wrote "I wouldn't be surprised if Dean's people are telling people in New Hampshire that Kerry's cancer is back and he is going to die before the election." The usual Dean hatred to be found on that blog.

Good to know that Fox News reads the Kerry blog!

This is just the beginnings of what will prove to be the nastiest battle in Presidential history.

Its an old psychological game called Lets you and him fight. This is where a 3rd party interjects something to further rile two parties who are all primed not to trust each other already to further fuel hatred and distrust.

edit to clarify that I am very sorry if Kerry does have a health problem, and very sorry that Mrs. Cheney the elder did not have a headache on the night little Dickie was conceived, I mean who cares if somebody says Kerry has whatever, good health is clearly not an impediment, if Diebold says it's not.

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.

Without a link this is just hearsay and inflammatory. Please feel free to repost when you get a link.
