McAuliffe mentions the CNN poll with 5% factor, Novak acts silly.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/01/05/elec04.poll.democrats.poll/

McAuliffe got a clue and mentioned this when Novak tried the 20 point spin. Novak says he did not know what he was talking about.

Don't these guys read their own website.

Carville bashed Dean again. He should be ashamed.

1. I don't have cable, but I thought Carville liked Dean; if he doesn't, then
it's obvious Bill and Hilary are behind Clark's run.

I just hope when Dean wins the nomination, that trio are big enough to realize the election is more important than Bill's ego. Don't get me wrong--I like Bill, but anyone in politics has to havea huge ego, and sometimes they don't get the bigger picture.

3. Let's not get all misty-eyed over Bill--this is the guy who couldn't
keep it in his pants when the Republicans were tearing through Whitewater, Travelgate, Trooper-gate, Jennifer Flowers, and Paula Jones.

I don't care how often he wants to get extra-curricular nooky as a private individual, but as leader of the Democratic party and President of the US, he should have had some sense that the timing might not be right to fool around with Bimbo-winsky.

Poor Mr. Gore had to run so fast and furiously away from Clinton's personal irresponsiblity that he almost lost the election . . .

17. Thanks for the ad-hominem attack. But the fact is that the man basically
gave the Repukes a huge club to hit him AND THE PARTY over the head with. You had dickless Ken Starr and his band of snitches and snoops just praying for a Monica, and then he turns around and gives them one.

Dumb, very dumb. And now America is paying the price with that little piece of $hit in the White House.

You can't say that Clinton wasn't partly responsible for the way the Democrats have melted down since the Lewinsky-scandle. Yes, the Repukes cynically manipulated public opinion with feigned "outrage," but they couldn't have done that if Clinton had just acted with some concern for others instead of his own immediate gratification.

5. I don't understand your logic
Carville's loyal to the Clintons, but he's hardly their mouthpiece. A lot of people wanted to see Clark get in the race because he made the field stronger. They had no idea whether he'd win the nomination. (BTW, I'll happily vote for Dean and support him if he wins the nomination.)

8. Carville said he needed a political lobotomy. Not nice.
No, Carville does NOT like Dean at all. Yes, it is a power struggle. It is not over.

13. Carville Was Nice To Dean Up Til Dean's Multiple Screw Ups
That is a FACT.

At this point, he's calling a spade for what it is.

Just because hardcore Dean supporters can't admit Dean's numerous mistakes lately... doesn't mean they didn't happen.

14. I just got my second letter from Carville and the DNC
asking for a contribution. I gave the first time I got a letter "from" him. With the check I included a short note explaining that, while I have voted and supported Dem candidates, I'd never given money before to either a candidate or the DNC. And I told them that it was the Dean campaign that got me to back up my mouth and my vote with money.

This time I just sent a note and said that as long as Mr. Carville continues to say very damaging things about a Dem candidate I'll hold off on the checks to the DNC and send 'em right to the candidate.

I got into a discussion before how Carville is just doing his job and wasn't a representative of the DNC while on Crossfire. Well, that may be all well and good, but it's my choice where I give my money and if the DNC is using him to shill for the party as a whole, what he says on national TV does make a difference.

I don't care if he offers constructive criticism (and in fact agreed with his "glory of the unexpressed thought" remark). But when he goes off on a Dem candidate the way he has with my candidate, I ain't exactly inspired to donate when I get a letter "from" him. Especially when the person he's trashing is the REASON some people may be donating to the DNC.

All in all, for someone who's supposed to be so bloody brilliant politically, I think it's waaaay dumb to be alienating what may well be an entire new segment of supporters and contributors.

7. Did anyone post that yesterday Novak asked Nader how he felt
about Willie Nelson endorsing Kucinich, since he had endorsed Nader last year and all, hahadeehahaha... Nader said "I endorse Kucinich, and I hope all Democrats will support Kucinich!" Novak just turned to the audience and smiled his capped-tooth possum dark prince grin, as if to impart that he meant to say that just to raise Nader's blood pressure a little bit.

Is that a reference to an older poll?

15. No its a new Gallup Poll
CNN is reporting that the repubs have closed ranks, Bushes numbers up 60% approval rating,

Likely voters

Dean 37%
Bush 59%

They are seriously questioning the previous CNN/TIME poll saying it was taken over the holidays, it showed 12% repubs for Dean.

16. OK Dean! way to campaign. This poll was just posted at the blog.
Edited on Tue Jan-06-04 05:44 PM by madfloridian
If CNN has it on their website as true, then we may claim it for ourselves.

http://www.blogforamerica.com/

The blog posts the results at this site;
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/01/05/elec04.poll.democrats.poll/index.html

Now CNN must explain why they can say the results are not valid because people were not at work? That is just silly.
