Comedian Sandra Bernhard during one of her stand-ups decided it would be funny to say that McCain's running mate Sarah Palin "would be gang raped by blacks in Manhattan". Sandra was in a Jewish Community Center when she made these Sarah Palin jokes.

Sandra warned Palin that coming to Manhattan would lead to her being raped by some of Sandra's big black brothers. This comment is highly provocative, disgusting, combative, and in some cases depending on your comedic likings can be funny. For those who've never watched Sandra Bernhard, these jokes are not something out of the ordinary for her to say, she consistently pushes the boundaries of disgusting and grotesque humor.

Joking about rape is never funny - no matter who the potential victim is. Joking about black men raping white women is less than not funny. It is grossly offensive, highly inflammatory and possibly dangerous.

It certainly does not merit a "you go, girl." Not by a long shot.
