a politician running for your top ticket in an election, can lie and lie with absolutely no worry of the media calling him out?

2. It happened in 2000 and 2004, too. The fascists who bought control of broadcast media in 80s and 90s
knew exactly what they were doing. Controlling most media also helps when your pals are stealing elections.
