Palin was just asked in a town hall what experience she has re: national security...
the woman asked the question in a friendly way, something like, "I've heard people claim you are not prepared to be VP because of your PERCEIVED lack of foreign policy experience. What can you say to prove them wrong?"

Her answer was a joke-paraphrased: "If Sen. McCain and I are lucky enough to win the election, on Jan. 20th, you will have two people who are ready to lead this country. I am ready. If you want to know anything about another country you can ask me-like a pop quiz. I'm ready. And the two of us will be ready to lead."

Then McCain chimed in, adding-paraphrased-"And she knows about energy which is a national security issue. She is the CIC of the Alaskan National Guard and has a son in Iraq right now. So she is ready and has interest in our foreign policy."

It was PATHETIC!!

5. I know. She repeated almost everything she said to Charlie in the few questions she was
asked, and her "closing statement" was verbatim from her stump speech-that their opponents like to say they'll fight for you, but there's only one man who has ever fought for you and that man is John McCain. :eyes:

I missed part of it but I just saw on Olbermann that people were shouting "Obama! Obama!" on their way out.

ETA-That was on his way out of a car-making factory with his wife. Sorry.

11. They're still campaigning together? Good.
We got them outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1, because our guys can campaign independently.

Man, that is pathetic!

Shades of "Bush won't answer 9/11 Commission questions without Cheney there to hold his hand..."

25. Sounded like McCain stepped in to keep her from rambling or
saying something even more stupid than she had already said.

That's what happens when you put a know-nothing on your ticket. She really IS a drag on the campaign.

19. She left Swaziland $2Mill in debt: Only 6K people. That's what matters, with this financial meltdown
In a day or two, no one will care about foreign policy.

We'll be so scared by Nov. there's no way we'll put these kindergardners in charge.
