Could Obama Hit 50% Again?
In a couple of polls right after the Democratic convention...Obama was up at 50%. With the major economic news taking front and center again...and Obama rising quickly in the polls, who here thinks he'll hit 50% AGAIN!! That would be major, and this is turning out to be a great week for Obama. If the bad news on the economy continues to come out from now till election day, McJoke is screwed!

3. The Pollster.com national average has him above McCain again
47.6 to 44.8. I don't think Hurricane Ike and the fiscal meltdown helped.

:woohoo:

9. FWIW, I predicted the Dow would be up 150 on Tuesday. It ended at 143.
I was wise enough to keep my mouth shut about what I thought would happen today.

6. In fact, I'm sure he not only can but will
Even if it takes until after the debates.

8. He's already above 51

On Intrade, that is. Last I checked he was 51.1.

I'm glad I got some 47 and 48 the other day. Of course, that was a press job after my initial investment was at 52 and 53.

I sort of got this right, predicting immediately after the GOP convention that the polls would be tied and then Obama would recoil to a small lead. McCain possibly took a narrow lead instead of tied, but overall I'm not sure it was ever proper to call McCain the favorite or frontrunner.

Now it settles until the debates.

However, I'll still caution against false optimism in states like Indiana or North Carolina or Montana or elsewhere. No doubt we'll be treated to more nonsense that those states are in play. Not gonna happen, unless Obama is consensus +5 or higher in the national polling.
