What could be the Dems "October surprise" (for McBush & co.)?

Like many of us on DU predicted, the ol pendulum has swung back in Obama's direction. The Palin hysteria wave has crested and the tide is quickly receding; McBush's convention bounce has all but bounced away (see Obama back up by 2 points on Gallup :)).

Still, given the nature of the enemy - the notion of a crazy October surprise by the pukes remains a concern (i.e. they are holding Bin Laden on ice somewhere). On the contrary, I think by mid-October the Obama/Biden ticket will have the momentum of a big blue freight train bearing down a hill. Not much if anything will stop us from winning.

But just in case Shrub decides to start another war to distract us (or some other news making event to disrupt the natural flow of things), I tend to think that the Obama camp has a contingency plan for that. Without giving it away, what kind of surprise can the Dems unleash to seal the deal --- on or about a week out of November 4th?

No gimmicks, just a truth - a big story that reminds people what in the heck they are voting for!

.. But I do know that they should use it RIGHT NOW!!! Otherwise Rove will pull their surprise and ours will pale in comparison. In other words they fight dirtier and are will to got to ANY length!!! They have proven this time and time again. Their surprise will be HUGH!!!!!

2. I actually think you're seeing the "Oct. Surprise" NOW. It just wasn't

the Dems that did it! Many of us saw this meltdown coming. I know I did, but I was scared to death it wouldn't happen until after January and of course the Pubs would blame it all on Obama! I also didn't expect it to be quite as bad as it's turning out to be!
