Apparently Obama does receive the suggestions posted on his site

This is Obama at a fundraiser in LA last night. Skip to index 4:28 and he starts talking about some of the comments he gets when people get nervous about the campaign.

Pretty funny when he talks about the "scripts" for ads. ;).

EDIT: OK, my mistake. He's said he gets those suggestions when comes to LA, not necessarily from the website. But it is interesting how that sentiment kind of parallels what we see here sometimes.

2. I have been saying this for a while.....
We are one of the sites that the entire media as well as operatives for both campaign monitors.

Why?

Because our mood is easy to read just by entering the big forums....
and because they know that we are the voice from the ground.

Anyone who thought that DU wasn't a player with a voice is totally out of touch.

That is why I say that we have much more say in how this election turns out than we want to give ourselves credit for...which is why the collective morale that we present could make a difference.
Which is why when I spot the naysayers, I want to kick their asses.....hard.

3. Yeah, he does...
...I've sent two - one got a very form letter type response that it would be read blah, blah, blah but another one I sent (and I can't remember what it was about) was more substantial about something McCain had done and I got a real "thanks for sending us this" type of response. They definitely get read and passed along if it's something they like/need/didn't know about.

Keep those cards and letters coming as they used to say.

4. Funny!
And I 'm appreciative for this clip. It was fundraiser that wasn't open to the public, right? I feel privileged to be there vicariously.
