Palin's hairdo: Not smart to get some styling before going to the rust belt.
Notice the new shine, the smoothed out lines, the, uh, grooming. I think the stylists are getting hold of her and that'll dull her appeal to folks who see her as "real" ... and yes, I realize this is a petty point. I'm looking for diversions from all the depressing sh*t that's come our way today via the market and Ike.

Reference: video of Palin on MSNBC today. They've showed it off and on when doing excerpts from her Hannity interview and reports on her Michigan appearance.

2. I don't know if it aired yet or if it was a sneak peek. I didn't listen; I looked at the hair.

3. Feel free to PM me if you want to get into hair, makeup, wardrobe, whatever
and don't feel comfortable posting it here. I love that shit!

Now I'm eagerly awaiting photos/clips to see what you're referring to.

5. I don't even know how to PM. The change is subtle, but it's clear she's being "cleaned up"

16. I was rich once, and I actually preferred the Goodwill/Salvation Army
and consignment store offerings. Much more character.

19. When I was a teen I wouldn't be caught dead in designer anything
And if I could get something "wicked" at the Goodwill, all the better! I bought a bunch of silk Hawaiian and Californian surf shirts there... with shell and wood buttons... they ruled! I bought a Chanel suit for $20 and "punked it up" for a laugh... and actually started a trend at my high school!

I was totally anti-establishement... can you tell? LOL!

20. Don't have cable, so if they don't stream it, I'm sure it will be on YouTube
or somebody here will post it.

By then, I'll have read the reviews here, and know whether or not I'll be able to stomach watching it. You'll be my tasters, in a sense. ;7

Hannity: Governor, it's great to have you here. So, when was it when you first realized how awesome you were?

Caribou Barbie: Blah blah blah blah I won't blink blah blah blah moose blah blah.

26. But this is the official transcript...
Hannity: "I think you're the greatest thing to come down the GOP pike in centuries."

Palin: "In what respect, Ham-it-ty?"

6. Obama's going to be in Las Vegas today
He has a new 2 minute ad out. Lilly Ledbetter endorsed Obama today, at a roundtable discussion with Michelle in Richmond.

Has to be something to talk about besides Pork Barrel.

7. Umm, people in the "Rust Belt" get stylish hairdos too....I'm in Michigan, I can assure you of that.
Not only is it a petty point, it's false stereotyping.

10. I'm not insulting Michigan. I live near the Ohio/MI line, another rust belt state.
My point isn't that people in these states don't get nice hairdos. It's that, politically, I think Palin's appeal is lessened the slicker she gets. I think the less fussed-over she appears, the better -- in states facing what our states are facing.

24. Absolutely some glamming up!
They must've thought that Tina Fey was prettier during her impersonation!!!

To me, it looks like Palin's hair has received some subtle highlighting. And something is up with those eyebrows.

And yes, I know, we should stick to the issues that matter, but this woman infuriates me on all fronts. Her voice and her appearance being only a fraction of what I do not like about her.

Funny how Corpmedia isn't smearing Palin's repackaging/reimaging/remarketing like the did with our Michelle.
