All 4 daily tracking polls showing positive movement for Obama
Research 2000 (Daily Kos) 48 Obama - 44 McCain
Gallup - 47 Obama - 45 McCain
Hotline - 45 Obama - 42 McCain
Rasmussen - 47 Obama - 48 McCain

Intrade - 49 Obama - 48.4 McCain

Not where we were after the DNC, but I like the direction of things.

3. and remember that those polls only show "expected voters"
Not first time or infrequent voters.

Many first timers and infrequent voters are gonna win this for us.

5. That's an important point. Polls do not reflect huge increases in voter participation
among groups that do not usually turn out in high numbers. I wonder if campaign insider polls weight voter turnout differently.

I'm also interested in seeing how voter turnout during primaries --democrats turned out in numbers 2 or 3 times that of GOP voters -- carries over to general election and how the cell phone only crowd is factored in.

I really wish I didn't have a nagging feeling that election fraud will play a role...caging and even tampering with results.

4. Actually, Hotline shows movement toward McCain...
Obama was up 4 yesterday, 3 today. Probably statistical noise, but we should be accurate. And I'm really surprised we aren't at least tied in Rasmussen yet.
