Email received from McCain campaign - should we volunteer to "help"?
I signed up to receive McCain's emails, and here's the latest received today asking for people to travel to swing states. Maybe some of you more creative people can "help" McCain somehow. (Use your imagination.)

"Can you invest 10 days of your life to make history?

"McCain-Palin 2008 is looking for volunteers who are willing to spend the final ten days of the campaign helping in a nearby state. Deployed volunteers will take an active role and participate in a number of Get-Out-The-Vote activities. These activities will include making phone calls, going door to door, recruiting volunteers, and assisting with additional campaign activities and operations.

"These ten days will be unpaid and participants will be responsible for arranging their own transportation and housing. Unfortunately, the campaign is unable to reimburse any expenses.

"If you can afford the time and expense to serve from October 25th through November 4th please reply to this email with your resume, if available, and your contact information, including city, state and phone number. Please send to Volunteer6@JohnMcCain.com or reply to this email.

Thank you!

Jacquie Vanderslice, Deputy Director of Volunteers
Volunteer6@JohnMcCain.com"

3. I wish someone would jam up the works for them.
I'm not conniving enough to figure out how to do that.

5. I'd be tempted to create a boatload of resumes with addresses of repossed houses in Michigan
And send those in. Then let the McCain campaign worry if their strategy might disenfranchise some of their own people. But then I probably wouldn't actually do it. :hide:

6. Screw volunteering for Obama..
Seriously, if everyone on this board "volunteered" for McCain and went to nearby houses to canvass, etc.. under the guise of being for McCain - but obviously instead talking up Obama.. imagine how that could effect things. ;) Let's get their lists of "independants" who are succeptible to switching to McCain.. and keep 'em on Obama's team!
