Don't watch Palin interviews.
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 10:18 PM by Miss Chybil
Sure, you can, if you want. I'm just saying, there's no need to drive up the ratings for this crap. It's so orchestrated and the media is the violin.

I just read on DU that Katie Couric has been blessed with the opportunity to be the second to interview Palin. I say we let it go. If she screws up, it'll be all over the news. If she doesn't, it'll be all over the news. If she says something different, it'll be international news. We don't even need to watch it to know what she has said. I can guarantee, it will be exactly what we have heard before.

She's stale. She's boring. Let's let the media know that. Don't watch.

1. TDS just showed her speaking and it was almost like watching Bush speak
He just played the video and the audience laughed - just like they do with Bush!!

She's toast - no need to worry.

3. I begged people not to watch the charlie one
but this one can be left alone easily.

it will be on youtube and her gaffes will be everywhere.

It frankly nauseates me to listen to her.

I can't believe anybody can stomach her.

8. perhaps you will join me
in a soothing counter to the hideousness that is the mere existence of sarah palin, by rewatching Obama's rousing DNC acceptance speech during her next interview. :toast:

I see no reason to poison my mind with her trash, lies, and ignorance. The mere suggestion that the people are supposed to take this pick seriously is not settling well with me and I refuse to honor it with my attention.

MSM had better hope they either get their acts together or McCain wins. Obama has that bill up which takes away much of the conglom power of these asshats. I shudder in anticipation of seeing an actual fucking news report one day soon. You know, without the chicklet teeth and the attention-getting shrill voiced-bobble head. Just the news, thanks.

:toast:

6. I don't know. Sometimes, I think the cable company keeps tallies on
how many tubes are tuned into what. That could just be paranoia, but I find any excuse not to watch her to be good enough, actually! :-)

9. why watch it to get the jokes?

everything you need to see is up on youtube or posted here within hours.

Trust me, you don't have to do everything they want you to do.

You will still be informed; you just won't have the litter of propaganda desperately searching for a place to take root in your mind.
There is nothing you can learn from watching Palin that you don't already know. You can, however, be taking an unintentional drink of the koolaid.

Katie Couric? What will you learn there? You already know that she edits her pieces to make McCain look like he knows what he is talking about -- this will only be an outrage of epic proportions and an insult to thinking americans.

we deserve candidates who can take interviews on day one; not this deference demanding, uninformed "populist" with an ethics problem.

The fact that people grace these interviews with their attention is half the problem, and that irritates me to no end.

Edited to add: to watch it is to legitimize her run for VP and to feed into the media frenzy/star meme they desperately need to build about her. Without that meme, she is dead in the water. Why would anyone here help them accomplish that goal?
