McCain can't use a computer because he was a POW

Notice how that meme was DOA yesterday? Locally, it was all over hate radio, but the national media didn't even give it a sniff. Granted, the loss of Lehman Brothers overshadowed it, but I'm thinking that the "I was a POW" line may lived past its freshness date.

2. While I can understand that past injuries might affect someone's keyboard abilities..

there are adaptations one can make to a computer to make it accessible to almost anyone. There are people who are very severely disabled who can nevertheless use an adapted computer; for some, whose disabilities affect their speech, this is the main means of communication.

Also, someone like McCain would be able to employ an assistant to do the actual physical keyboard manipulation under his direction.

So this sounds like an excuse that someone came up with on the spur of the moment. Was it McCain who said it, or someone talking about him?
