I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves but it Obambi is allowed to steal the election after this is revealed then our country is in worse shape than I’d thought. Not only did I wait again for a table, but the take out business was brisk! There was no room in the waiting area and the bar was packed too.

I made a similar remark to my wife while we were waiting in line for nearly 20 minutes to buy a video game during this past weekend.

It seems to me that the only people in bad financial times are the investment bankers. The rest of the population seems to be humming along just fine. The streets are crowded, the malls packed, the restaurants jammed, spending seems to be at an all time high, and new stores are opening by the dozens. Hiring is even still strong.

We seem to be measuring our financial health by Wall Street, but all they seem to be playing with is funny money and the feds. I measure our health by what people have and don’t have and right now they have quite a bit and are doing without very little. Some people seem to have gotten into trouble with their mortgages but most are doing just fine. If the economy were to turn south then we will see more mortgage troubles, but, overall, things seem just fine in my neck of the woods.
