A sampling of "Free" Republic- If you need a laugh/headbang moment

On Edit: I'd just like to say how MUCH BETTER the layout of DU is!! That Freepzone is ridiculous to navigate & totally uninspiring.

After reading a post by a DUer who got "banned" over there, I decided to traipse on over & read some of their, ummm... opinions. (AKA- crap) A good 75% of these people should not be allowed to vote.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops
Oh, dear God help us. He's got absolutely no clue about the separation of the executive and legislative branches, and which one is actually the commander-in-chief. We CANNOT let this bozo Obambi get into power. His stupidity is simply overwhelming.

OK, just when you thought it could not get any WORSE for Obama... this should seal the deal for Sarah Palin and Mc-What’s his name !!

TOWARD VICTORY

I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves but it Obambi is allowed to steal the election after this is revealed then our country is in worse shape than I’d thought. By rights he should soon be one of the most reviled figures in US history, and no matter how much the media try to protect him now this can no longer be kept under wraps.

OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN

McCain and his campaign need to stay out of this one. Let the alternative media (that includes us) take this one. Rush and his 40,000,000 listeners, Hanity, et al. can pound on it, too, but Mac doesn’t need to play the victim card. He isn’t one, and frankly, that puke Obama’s ad isn’t worthy of Mac’s attention.

If the economy is so bad why am I waiting a half hour for a table? (Vanity)
Boardwalk

Posted on Monday, September 15, 2008 11:14:33 AM by Boardwalk

Not only did I wait again for a table, but the take out business was brisk! There was no room in the waiting area and the bar was packed too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I made a similar remark to my wife while we were waiting in line for nearly 20 minutes to buy a video game during this past weekend.

It seems to me that the only people in bad financial times are the investment bankers. The rest of the population seems to be humming along just fine. The streets are crowded, the malls packed, the restaurants jammed, spending seems to be at an all time high, and new stores are opening by the dozens. Hiring is even still strong.

We seem to be measuring our financial health by Wall Street, but all they seem to be playing with is funny money and the feds. I measure our health by what people have and don’t have and right now they have quite a bit and are doing without very little. Some people seem to have gotten into trouble with their mortgages but most are doing just fine. If the economy were to turn south then we will see more mortgage troubles, but, overall, things seem just fine in my neck of the woods.

Now, to be fair, there are a few who said that they think there is an economic downturn.
But they are the exception, NOT the rule.

It really should be painful to be that stupid. Maybe then they'd start thinking harder.

You wouldn't believe the amount of young adults still partaking of their well-to-do parents' generosity, talking about how it's all the people's fault, for taking out bad loans and going into debt.

:banghead:

19. Jenneane Garafalo was on Bill Mahr the other night and she said
something that really struck home. She said "Democrats are generally more decent people than Republicans." This is actually true. Debate with a freeper and you will eventually come to the same end with every one of them. They have no facts to back them up so eventually you will corner them and they will either just lie, or have to admit (and this just happened to me the other day) that they are assholes. I got into it with one about Wal-Mart (after the dude claimed they pay 10.15 an hour to "associates" ) eventually I cornered him and he had to admit that he just didn't give a shit about Wal-Mart employees, or sweat shops or local businesses. I actually had to give the guy credit for admitting he is an asshole. In the current climate there is no possible way to lose an issues debate with a freeper, they either need to lie or admit they are assholes.

Since Caribou Barbie burst on the scene, they've got the hots for her. I guess they see her sorta like the one good looking Princess Leia at the Omaha Star Wars convention.
