I just think the keys are bad symbolism. I don't own a single home and yet I have a key ring FULL of keys (to apartment, job, etc.). I suspect most Americans have tons of keys. If you have to constantly explain your symbolism, it's a failure.

The issue related to the sounds he heard when his captors would come to take him from his cell (usually for beatings or torture).

I think crass stupid attempts at humor at the expense of soldiers, POW, and those suffering PTSD can only hurt Obama.

Don't go there. When we got back from Iraq one of my friends had to be hospitalized for suicide and depression all related to PTSD.
If you have never suffered real trauma it is easy to make a joke.
