Westcoast DU: Stay away from your TeeVees for one hour.
MSNBC = John McCain profile

CNN = Sarah Palin profile

FOX = Sara Palin profile

WTF. If these weren't apologetic puff pieces, I might not mind.

I don't know whether to shit or go blind, so I'm going to take Ginny for a walk.

A long walk.

18. I'm a Bronco Fan, but You're Right!
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 10:13 PM by mckara
I grew up in Colorado and became a Bronco fan as a youngster. San Diego became my adopted home while in the Navy and the Chargers became another favorite team. Somehow, the Raiders became another favorite team, probably, because they were temporarily in LA during my second tour of duty, which relocated me to Long Beach. Instead of feeling rivalries, I support all three teams! Craaazzzzyyyy! lol I think those are called: Mile-High Miracles!

4. Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid...
I know what you mean, but I will say this, I happened to watch the Palin bio on MSNBC last night and I didn't find it to be all that flattering to her. They brought up most of the controversial issues with her and I liked it :).

9. Same here----
I turned it on and they were showing old WWII film and talking about someone's father and grandfather, and I honestly thought for a moment they were talking about Charlie Manson's dad and grandad. I thought
"gee, this ought to be interesting.." :rofl:

Are the two of them that much different, one from the other?

11. MSNBC Palin profile was earlier today - - - Peee UUUUU
Did anyone see that farce? I managed to sit through about half of it. It sounded to me like Norah O'Donnell was narrating. It was even more pro-Palin than a Republican campaign ad might be. It had virtually no negative issues brought up. The Bridge To Nowhere was completely dismissed as something Palin eventually crusaded against and did away with. Everwhere there was mention that Palin went against the good old boy network and was a reformer without giving any examples. They insisted that Palin NEVER promoted any kind of library book censorship, without giving any details to the charges or mentioning the librarian. She was called a "Superstar Mom". There were dozens of subtle little things that made you realize this was pro-Republican propaganda. I noticed they called Wasilla a "small city". City? Didn't it have only about 5,500 people when Palin became mayor? It was barely a small town. This was shameless.

21. I saw it too! I felt sick knowing that someone might believe it.
It took the only two examples of Palin outing powerful corrupt Republicans (and her resignation from some oil commission due to its cronyism) and acted like it was the story of her political career!

They go and talk to people about things like the earmarks and firing the librarian.

15. CNN is running profiles of both VP candidates this weekend, so they are actually "balanced."

As for the other two, who knows.

16. But three Palin/McCain at the same time, and Scalia on CBS....
It was just a bit much. But glad for the balance otherwise, except for Fox...

20. Well, I finally heard CNN mention Joe's record on women's issues and foreign policy creds.
I have yet to hear a mediawhore mention that in addition to the 3 years Obama spent as a community organizer (in his 20s :eyes:), Obama served 8 years in the Illinois State Senate and 4 years in the U.S. Senate.

Maybe the non-fluff stuff just slips their mind.
