I thought it was about voting for unpopular positions based on personal principles, but everyone's treating it like it means voting based on religious beliefs.

Dean: That's what I'm doing. Bradley AND Gore endorsements prove it. Inside and outside DC supporters. Clinton did great job bringing people together, but you cannot compromise to people like Tom DeLay.

Dean: I have history as Gov. as bringing Dems and Repubs together.

Gep: we can't beat bush by agreeing with bush on trade (yet the Iraqi war is okay Gep) We need bold ideas on healthcare, energy, jobs.

CMB: still wants to take men only sign off the door (this line is getting old for this feminist)

57. But dean was in favor of cutting Medicare when he was governor of Vermont!
read Dean's own words:

In the mid-1990s, Dean even aligned himself with the likes of Republican Newt Gingrich on his stance on cutting Medicare. He opined at the time, "The way to balance the budget is for Congress to cut Social Security, move the retirement age to 70, cut defense, Medicare and veterans pensions, while the states cut everything else."16

The rest of this article is here:
http://www.isreview.org/issues/32/dean.shtml

Looks like Dean says whatever he thinks will get him votes at the moment. Dean is like some kind of chameleon, changing from conservative to liberal depending on who he is trying to get votes from.....

Ask a heterosexual married couple if they are willing to have their legal relationship changed from "marriage" to "civil union" and see what they say? If they have no objection, that's when the institutions are truly equal.

88. How do we prevent forest fires???
Gep: Bush increased problems in this area. Clinton had a good policy. Would be in favor for removing brush if it's needed.

104. Kucinich missed a great opportunity in his closing.
The war in Iraq is not only a foreign policy issue. It's a DOMESTIC issue. As long as we spend billions there and on bloated defense budget, our country suffers domestically.

:(
