Hey, if it'll help...script your own Obama ad right in this here thread.
Who knows, maybe someone'll discover you and make it.

I think personally the best way to take Palin out would be a 3 am ad. Not sure how it'd go, but I would want her response to the foreign policy crisis to end like this:

"Well...uh...is he a moose? Cause with a moose, what you do is...oh. No, I guess he's not a moose. Uh...does he play hockey?"

click, dial tone,

The Plaid Adder

14. excellent. . Show governor Palenauseous to be the dimwit , small
town, beauty queen wanna-be, trailertrash family-turned-political 'tool' for the Grand Oil Party, Exactly what she really is.

The Palenauseous handlers will have to find a new shade of lipstick keep this disguise going another month.
She is what she is.

A savy P.R. Firm can convince people to buy anything. Like an amazing breakthrough pharmaceutical that is rushed through the FDA without proper 'vetting', only to be yanked from the market 6 months later for its debilitating and deadly side effects.

Hillary a bitch, and McNut laughing, they show his vote on the equal wages for women bill, then a shot of him listing Palin as one of the biggest pork users. Finish with the line "What happened to the Straight Talk Express?"

7. Yes that's a great addition, except I would not include the Chelsea joke.
I was really pissed about that when he said it, and I don't wnat anyone who hasn't heard it to hear it now! I know whe's a grown woman now, but I don't want to hurt her that way.

It's one thing to vote on an abstract bill, but to make a cruel comment about a minor in front of an audience... not cool.

4. I would start like this:
Voice: John McCain wants you to trust his intellect, temperament, and integrity to elect him President.

McCain: "Barack Obama is not the agent for change, I am the agent for change"

Voice: Really? Showing a clip of McCain: "Bomb bomb bomb Iran" "We'll stay in Iraq 100 years"

More McCain clips: "Czecholslovakia" "Afghanistan and Iraq sharing same borders"
"Bridge to Nowhere" "Sarah Palin never asked for earmarks"

Voice: Perhaps John McCain is not aware that he is lying. John McCain believes his own lies and that is dangerous for America. John McCain does not have the temperament, the intellect, and the integrity to be COmmander in Chief. John McCain, living in and remembering only the past.

8. Ready to Lead?
Start by showing McCain talking about how important it is to have someone as VP that is ready to lead.

Then show him answering the question of Palin's foreign policy experience with her knowledge of 'Energy' and being close to Russia, then

show Palin answering the same way, then

show all of the places Biden has visited on a map of the world, then

show the two or three countries Palin has visited.

9. Start with a very dark background and spooky music.
Show McCain saying that there will be more wars, 100 years in Iraq, and bombing Iran, then

show Palin talk about potential wars with Russia, Iran, etc.., then

show the toll the war has taken on our soldiers, then

put up in black letters(hold for five seconds), 'How does McCain plan on getting new soldiers for these wars?'

12. "Sleight of hand"
What the heck, here goes...

A magician is performing on a street corner. In a store window behind him, a wall of televisions with Republicans (McCain, Bush, Palin, etc.) ranting in the background creates a cacophony of voices, slowly swelling in volume in the background. Several people have gathered around to watch the magician perform.

The magician performs several tricks, each involving him producing an object (a small TV, a crystal ball, etc.) showing a nasty Republican sound bite. As the crowd "oohs" and "ahs" as if they're watching a prizefight, lobbyists in suits start rifling through their pockets, tossing their wallets and valuables into moneybags. One pats the magician on the shoulder and gives him a grin and a "thumbs-up."

Voice-over: "John McCain now says he's all about 'change.' But we've seen nothing but the same old tricks. Gutter politics. Phony outrage. No solutions. Just distraction after distraction to keep you from seeing what the next four years will be like under John McCain - just like the last eight under George W. Bush."

"Don't be distracted. Demand real solutions for real issues. Demand *real* change." (Photo of Obama.)

"I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message."

15. I'd be right up front
John McCain says that Barack Obama is going to raise taxes on the middle class--He's LYING.

Barack Obama wants to lower taxes for the average American.

John McCain says that Barack Obama is going to raise taxes on seniors--He's LYING.

Barack Obama wants to make more of seniors' incomes tax free.

John McCain says that Barack Obama is going to teach kindergartners how to have sex--He's LYING.

Barack Obama is for teaching children to avoid child molesters.

Why is John McCain LYING? Doesn't he have any ideas of his own?

Reject John McCain and his LIES. Vote for Barack Obama on November 4.

Get a bunch of average Americans to recite the lines

** = switching to a different person reciting the line

They call us a nation of whiners. ** They define rich as making $5 million a year. ** They give big tax breaks to oil companies, ** and cut relief to ** farmers ** veterans ** schools ** and community programs. ** They can't remember how many homes they have ** while some of us are struggling to pay for one. ** They don't understand My America ** My America ** My America.

18. Posted this earlier this week:
People here want to stick to issues, but the problem is, many Americans go on gut assessment of personality and character when in the voting booth. Thus, there is NO reason not to attack McLoon on character, but it has to be done judiciously--and if it also involves issues, it's a two-fer.

So in the spirit of Rove, I've styled my attacks on McCain's following STRENGTHS:

1) His honor
2) His "maverick" and reformer image
3) His willingness to stand on principle.

Here's the ad: (Standard ominous announcer-man, gloomy photo of McCain)

"John McCain has flip-flopped on almost every major issue..." (on-screen scroll through issues he flip-flopped on: immigration, drilling, taxes, Iraq War timetables, reproductive choice, etc.)

"John McCain surrounds himself with the lobbyists and special-interest folks he says he's against..." (newspaper citations/quotes, pics of K-street, etc.)

"John McCain caved in to the extreme right wing of his party when choosing his running mate..." (photo of Palin, with that Cheney-style sneer she wore at the convention)

"So if he doesn't stand firm on the issues, and he isn't a reformer, and he isn't a maverick, just WHO IS John McCain?
(get ready, here's the punch line, with a photo of McLame with his hands over his face) Just another Republican politician, with the same failed Republican ideas."

This formula can be used for Palin, too: lied about the Bridge and earmarks, against choice for women, doesn't understand the basics of the mortgage crisis--so if she's not a reformer, and she doesn't stand up for women, and she doesn't understand the economy, who is she? JUST another Republican politician, with the same failed Republican ideas.

My goal here--gotta make them UNACCEPTABLE, make people get past the image they're trying to promote of themselves and see them as just two more GOP charlatans.

with McCain singing "Bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran" in the background.

NO audio commentary. Just the juxtaposition of the horrifying images and McCain's "song".

Cut to footage of McCain saying "maybe we'll be there 100 years".

Finally... cut to Obama saying "I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message".

20. Off the top of my head..
{Play McCain clip #1.}
{Pause video at the end of his statement.}
{Big red stamp with the word LIE is slammed across the screen.}

{Play McCain clip #2.}
{Again, pause video at the end of his statement.}
{Insert big red stamp once again.}

{Repeat a few more times.}

{Play final McCain clip, showing him promising an honest and honorable campaign.}
{This time, instead of the word "LIE," stamp the word "LIAR" across his forehead.}
{Freeze the graphic for 5 seconds. Let it sink in.}

The end.

21. I'd actually like a 527 to run this in Southern States
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 02:04 PM by OmahaBlueDog
**Open to MLK giving the "I have a dream speech"**

Narrator: In the America of the 1960's, the idea that an African American could run for the presidency was simply a dream

** Cut to Obama at Invesco talking about his family **

Narrator: Today, the dream of Martin Luther King is a reality. On November 4th, be part of that dream. Visit your county voter registration office today, and register to vote, or let them know if you've moved or changed your name since the last time you've voted. If you have a friend, neighbor, or relative who's never voted, bring them along.

** Close with shot of the Capitol, set up for innaguration**

On November 4th, be part history.

** end**

On a personal note, I think the Obama campaign is making a mistake pulling resources out of Georgia. First, it concedes needed support to the senate campaign against Chamblis. Secons, I think that continuing to mobilize Georgia's huge black population will have residual effects in neighboring states. I know the poll numbers look bad now, but I'd stay with it.

22. Need an Attack Ad That Depict These Guys as Bellicose Wackos
Begin with clips showing McCain in favor of a war in Iraq all dated in terms of "Days after 9-11." 7 secs.

Show images of warfare (no deaths) in Afghanistan and Iraq and families crying over caskets draped with a US flag while we hear McCain repeats "fight on" (edited from McCain's nomination speech). 10 secs.

Show image of McCain singing "Bomb, Bomb, Iran" 3 sec.

Black backdrop with Text and Narrator: "We Cannot Afford Another War." "John McCain, Just More of the Same." 3 secs

Show images of an early stage nuclear detonation while we hear the quote of Palin line regarding Russia. 3 secs.

"While the personal details of your life may help to fill in the picture about what kind of employee you will be, they are not what will get you hired."

"The job Sarah Palin is asking you to hire her for requires a person with experience and insight into not just one, but several critically important issues facing Americans."

-- CB fires a shot, then gets a surprised look on her face and pulls her head back. Camera view of a large, rapidly deflating ballon on the ground with the bold words 'US Economy'.

"Let's not hand over the keys to the White House to a pair of individuals who promise to continue the same wild shooting as the previous tenant (image of Bush). Elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

DEJA VU

After 8 years of the Republican Party running the show in Washington, Americans have had enough.
(Blurp about the Republican party being dog food.)

But wait, all might not be lost.

Can the gang that brought us George W. Bush and Dick Cheney do it again?

Karl Rove and the McCain campaign think so. (Pictures of Karl Rove and his cohorts laughing it up)

THE ROVE/MCCAIN GAMEPLAN

Dust off the 2000 game plan and convince American voters that their candidate will reform Washington. (excerpts of ads/talking heads pushing Bush as a reformer in 2000)

THE PROBLEM

John McCain, no matter how you slice it, is just more of the same. From his lobbyist pals to his 90% voting with President Bush record - that will be one tough sell.

BUT AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT….

In Alaska, the corrupt Republican Governor is headed for defeat. So the good old boys in the Republican Party recruit Sarah Palin to run against the sitting Republican Governor. She runs on a platform of cleaning up government and wins. But is Sarah Palin really a reformer?

John McCain and Sarah Palin says she is:
The video of her saying thanks but no thanks to the bridge to no-where. Then the facts.
The video of her saying she fired the chef. Then the facts.
The video of her saying she ran on the platform that she would take a cut in mayor’s pay. Then the facts.
The video of her decrying earmarks and pork and the facts (including funding the road to nowhere and other outrageous pork projects).
Any other really good facts which expose her for the phony reformer she is. The 2008 McCain/Palin election game plan…. a rerun of the 2000 a Karl Rove oldie but goodie (show Bush/Cheney 2000 with pictures of the laughing crooks).
Also add the facts about her dealings with Steven's 527.

NOTE: Also show footage of McCain telling lies about Palin.

Will the gang that brought us the phony reformers in 2000 do it again? (Pictures of Karl Rove and his cohorts laughing it up)
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…. Can our country survive?
